At some point, before the Velvet Revolution, Vaclav Havel became one of my heroes in this world--I wrote a paper on him, and, with what happened in 1989, he became even more elevated in my eyes, especially with all the struggles eastern europe had unwinding from the yoke of communism. The playwright who became president, one of the voices that changed the world. RIP.
